Customer Critiques

I am pleased with this fan. Uses two 40W candelabra bulbs. Light has only On or Off setting. I wish the lights were brighter or maybe it is that they are not a focused beam, or perhaps the unit sits greater than my old below-cabinet unit. The lights appear to be situated alot more to the back of the stove than they would be with an below-cabinet unit.
Fan has three settings. Low is fairly quiet, high is somewhat noisy but not poor. The controls are sliders. The fan has 3 distinct settings: low, medium, and high. This unit plugs in it is not developed to be difficult-wired.
I bought this to go with the Broan LB30 30-Inch Hood Liner. I bought an older dwelling that had an empty-inside wood hood (no over stove cabinet) and believed the liner would slip suitable in there, we pop the fan in, and that is it. I downloaded all the directions, spec sheets, and so on., I could discover on line ahead of time.
The directions (both from the web and from the box) when utilizing the liner are confusing. My contractor had to call the 800 for tips and that individual told him that the liner is not created to hold up the fan. He stated you have to either have a cabinet or create a box. In effect, the liner is just to cover up the wood, safeguard it, and give a stream-lined appear.
Soon after some discussion we decided to just use the liner to hold up the fan and it appears incredibly solid. The liner installs with the opening pointing down (concave), so the bottom of the fan unit ends up four" above the bottom of the hood and is hidden. I posted some photos.
It really is slightly awkward reaching below and/or seeking beneath to find and move the switches which are on the bottom of the fan unit. I'm sure it will come to be automatic with use.
For my circumstance, this unit combined with the liner were ideal. The completed project looks pretty specialist and was way much less expensive than a custom hood. It was not attainable to uncover a matching cabinet in order to set up a prepared-produced below-cabinet fan unit. The expense for this fan unit, the liner, and labor was less than or equal to what it would have expense for an off-the-shelf fan unit, non-matching over-stove cabinet, and labor.

The Broan Range Hood is fantastic. It arrived as advertised. We could not think the packaging they provided to make certain the hood would not get damaged in transit. This is a awesome value from a good enterprise. It was a pleasure to do company with such an outstanding company.
